Organic Homegrown Potatoes – SARPO AXONA

This is a pink skinned potato that is Hungarian in origin.

They are popular with organic growers because of high foliage to block out weed growth, blight and other disease resistance and the great taste and yield. They grow quickly but if left too long can become very large with sometimes a small hollow in the center.

It has a floury texture and needs care if boiling, steaming is possibly a better option for cooking. They can also be roasted, chipped, mashed and baked. The all round spud
