Our potatoes are grown, caring for the soil and environment. We will never compete with large scale company farms. Talking about economics, over 90% of what you purchase with Robins Glen or at farmers markets will stay in Ireland. A figure for commercial potatoes could be 50%.

Harvesting with our own potato harvester.

Our own harvesting equipment is important, to protect our soil and potatoes. Small scale organic farming cannot compete with large company farms. However with consumer support, we could have smaller farms around the country, giving more food security, and not to have all our eggs in one basket.

Chicory and clover crop was established using our “Green Harvest” system , with no soil disturbance. The system feeds soil biology all year round in our field crops. The farmer come inventor gets no assistance on projects that goes against the big corporations.
